Valentine’s Day is here and that means either one of two things. Either you are excited for a fun romantic date out with your loved one ooooor you’re preparing for Galentines. Turning on my favorite music/movie and a favorite diffuser blend while I pamper myself is really one of my favorite things to do. Here are some of my favorite ways for Pamper Days:

  1. Epsom Salt Bath: This will help detox and destress you from your everyday life plus it will help soothe your muscles.
  2. Sugar Lip Scrub: Growing up, I had the most terrible chapped lips that were always peeling so this is something I like to do on a routine basis to help my lips stay smooth and pretty.
  3. Clay Facial Mask:  This is made with Bentonite clay which has a ton of nourishing properties for your skin to get you back to glowing.
  4. Strawberry-Lime Sugar Scrub: This is one that will make your skin as soft as a baby’s bottom.  It also helps your skin feel bright and fresh.
  5. Bergamot Foot Mask: Feet should not be out of mind just because they might be out of sight. Don’t forget to show them a little love too.

For those of you that do not know me, on top of being a doTERRA Wellness Consultant, I also work for With Grace Hospice as a Program Volunteer Manager. My team and I go out to visit patients with less than 6 months to live and we provide companionship, aromatherapy, music therapy, prayer and spiritual support to the patients and their families. We also have an awesome team of Doctors, Nurses, Health Aids, Social Workers and a Chaplain to serve our patients and families.

My close friends always ask me how I can be around death and dying. It seems so morbid and frightening to them. I tell them that it’s actually sometimes a selfish reason for me. In being around death and dying, it reminds me to go live and create the best life I can with my loved ones. When you are around someone who is about to leave this earth, the focus of a decaying body leaves my eyesight and all I see is the beautiful spiritual being that God created them to be. Sometimes they are people that you know were not nice humans beings or good parents to their children, but in their end days, their spiritual light shines brighter.

I know we all start as a bright spark of energy (scientifically proven when the sperm meets contact with the egg) and are originally filled with God’s love and light. But as we go through life, sometimes our light gets dimmed. Our spirits always naturally want to return back to LOVE in the end. And it is an honor and a privilege to visit our patients and spend time with them during this time.

I left my comfortable corporate job just before a promotion to do more work for the soul and I was also told by one of the Hospice Founders that I would get the opportunity to start a Non-Profit and get to run it! (That was her sales pitch to grab me.) It has always been my dream to be part of a Non-Profit where we could change lives.

In April of last year, Dr. Marvin Masada, Linh Le, Rowena Jones, and I started With Grace Foundation where we focus on Community, Relief Aid, and Fellowship. We have done a few events together, including 2 mission trips, a Fall Wellness Fair, a Comedy Sportz Fundraiser, etc.

Being Board Director of our Foundation is my ultimate “WHY” and vehicle to be able to share God’s love. My doTERRA business is a conduit to my ultimate “WHY” and is very much connected because the oils open up people to heal and love on themselves so they too can return back to LOVE and in turn, they are able to add value to our planet when they are feeling happy, energetic and good about themselves.

We have a big goal in raising $200,000 to build a Home for the Aged and Dying where there is lack of resources in the Philippines. We hope you can join us in that journey, attend our events and contribute.

Look out for our next event Gems and Bow-ties Gala in San Jose, CA on June 2. More info to come.

Meanwhile, check out the pics below of the fun we had at our Valentines Fundraiser Dinner last night. We are thankful for all of the love and support and we had a pretty big turn out taking up the whole patio and and a part of the restaurant inside. I wish I could’ve taken more photos of everyone, but I got busy.

May your spirit be filled with love an joy and hope to see you soon!

XOXO- Grace
